Full Intel pack. Thanks to the additional Intel Arc A370M graphics processor, Acer's notebook promises significantly better performance in image and video editing – even for games. Even beyond that, the features seem impressive and meet high expectations. Unfortunately, a few flaws in the details spoil the overall impression, which is otherwise good.

The ARM ThinkPad. For the first time, Lenovo is introducing a ThinkPad laptop with an ARM processor to the market. The ThinkPad X13s is silent and offers a long battery life thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3. However, the concept still has some weaknesses, and particularly the performance continues to need some improvements.

Now with a 99-Wh battery. Considering the low weight, even the Tiger Lake Schenker Vision 14 with the GeForce RTX 3050 Ti GPU was a very powerful 14-inch laptop that gets a massive boost with this generation's Alder Lake Core i7-12700H upgrade. Additionally, the battery size has been increased for significantly improved runtimes.

More stamina than the gram. It is called an Ultra PC and is cheaper than a gram. This 16-inch laptop has a longer battery life than the already long-lasting Intel-based LG gram. What's more, the device only needs a 72 Wh battery (rather than 80 Wh) to achieve this level of battery life. At 400 g heavier, the Ultra PC is admittedly not quite a "gram", but it is still a respectable piece of hardware no less.

Nvidia T550 in 14 inches. HP's ZBook Firefly 14 G9 mobile workstation wants to offer a lot of performance in a compact package. Alder Lake-U with 12 watts. With the latest ZBook Firefly 16 G9, HP's mobile workstation is available in the 16-inch form factor for the first time and combines an Alder Lake-U processor with the dedicated T550 GPU from Nvidia. Unfortunately, the performance of both components is lacking.

Premium problem case. A high quality, a high performance, and even relatively efficient with current AMD Ryzen CPUs and Radeon graphics - what could possibly go wrong? Quite a lot, actually. But it was really only one problem with the Lenovo ThinkPad Z16 G1, that created difficulties for our test evaluation.

Long lasting. The TravelMate offers a Core i7 processor (Tiger Lake), 16 GB of RAM and excellent battery life. Acer has made a great decision to use a 14-inch display with a work-friendly 16:10 aspect ratio (1,920 x 1,200 pixels) and provide a three-year warranty on the device in Germany (two years in the US).

Lenovo has completely redesigned the popular ThinkPad T14 G3 business notebook and deploys a new case together with a 16:10 display, but the keyboard is once again slightly inferior. The new AMD Ryzen 7 Pro 6850U offers plenty of CPU power as well as a fast integrated GPU, ensuring a very efficient laptop overall.

Aluminum case and WQHD panel. Lenovo is offering a large 16-inch multimedia notebook in the ThinkBook 16 G4+, which is armed with a lot of power thanks to an Intel Core i7-12700H and a dedicated Nvidia GeForce RTX 2050 as well as a good sRGB screen in 16:10 format.
