Asus and MSI have released details about their new Z590 motherboards with the LGA 1200 socket that offer support for Comet Lake and Rocket Lake chips from Intel. MSI’s range features 12 boards that are headlined by a revamped MEG Z590 GODLIKE while the 13 boards from Asus are led by the pricey ROG Maximus XIII Extreme Glacial.

EVGA and ZOTAC have followed ASUS in increasing the price of their NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 series custom cards. The changes range from 4% to 23%, which correlate to price increases of between US$70 and US$350. Overall, prices hikes average 10% across over 30 cards.

The Asus TUF Gaming Dash F15 is the newest addition to Asus' TUF line of gaming laptops. Qualcomm has revealed that it has bought the CPU-design team NUVIA for approximately US$1.4 billion. The OEM asserts that the move will make it more competitive in the future, and will enhance the development of Snapdragon mobile chipsets, as well as platforms for AI-powered vehicles, XR and infrastructure. At its MSIology event, MSI has taken wraps off the GE76 Raider Dragon Edition Tiamat. The iQOO 7 starts at CNY 3,798 (~US$588) and is available in three colours, including a BMW variant.

Xiaomi has confirmed that it will be announcing a new RedmiBook Pro laptop with Intel's latest Tiger Lake-H35 processors. However, multiple Geekbench listings assert that AMD versions are on the way, with up to the Ryzen 7 5800H set to power the RedmiBook Pro 15S. Gigabyte has introduced new mid-range gaming laptops powered by both Intel Comet Lake-H and AMD Ryzen 5000H Zen 3 options. These laptops are aimed at the multi-tasking crowd that also likes to game. The Intel-based Gaming G5 and G7 and the AMD-based Gaming A5 and A7 share many features with the Aorus gaming series including the Windforce cooling system.

Dell has updated the Chromebook 3100 its entry-level Chromebook with optional LTE connectivity. The new device will initially be offered to educational institutions but will eventually wind its way into Dell’s regular consumer offerings.

The Mi Mix 3 was launched back in 2018. Xiaomi has been coy about its plans for a Mi Mix 4 release since then, but it appears that the company is now gearing up for that phone this year. And it could be joined by the Mi Note 11.
