Xiaomi RedmiBook Pro 15 and RedmiBook Pro 15S pitched to launch next month with up to Core i7-11370H and Ryzen 7 5800H processors
Xiaomi has announced that it will be refreshing its RedmiBook Pro series. Taking to Weibo, the Chinese company announced that new RedmiBook Pro machines would begin arriving in February 2021. Additionally, Xiaomi published a teaser photo of the new RedmiBook Pro, confirming that it will feature Intel's new Tiger Lake H35 CPUs. You can read more about the Tiger Lake-H35 series here.
Dissecting the photo, it seems that the RedmiBook Pro will have a relatively slim bottom bezel, along with an aluminium build. The laptop will also have a USB Type-C port, presumably for charging, an LED indicator, a full-sized HDMI port and a USB Type-A port.
Xiaomi is yet to confirm any other features of the upcoming RedmiBook Pro refresh, but multiple Geekbench listings offer insights. Based on these listings, it seems that Xiaomi plans to release Core i5-11300H and Core i7-11370H versions of the machine, which has been benchmarked as the RedmiBook Pro 15. Unsurprisingly, the RedmiBook Pro 15 will be available with 16 GB of RAM, but we would expect to see at least one 8 GB option, also. Geekbench reports that Xiaomi has assigned the RedmiBook Pro 15 the model number TIMI TM2017, for reference.
Furthermore, the benchmarking website contains multiple listings for a RedmiBook Pro 15S (TIMI TM2019), which appears to be an AMD-powered version of the RedmiBook Pro 15. So far, SKUs with the Ryzen 5 5600H and Ryzen 7 5800H have been benchmarked varying from 8 GB to 16 GB of RAM. Xiaomi is yet to comment on the existence of the RedmiBook Pro 15S, but we imagine it will do so within the next few weeks.
