The Redmi 7 is yet to receive MIUI 12, but it has been upgraded to Android 10 in another region. The device, also sold as the Redmi Y3 in India, had only seen Android 10 on the Chinese branch of MIUI until now, but global handsets have become eligible for the OS update.
Xiaomi Firmware Updater currently lists the new update as a Stable Beta one, meaning that Xiaomi is yet to distribute it to all handsets. Nonetheless, you can download the 2.0 GB recovery zip from the link below should you wish to flash it manually.
It is unclear when Xiaomi plans to upgrade the Redmi 7 to MIUI 12, though. The Snapdragon 662-based handset should see at least Android 11 too, but that could be a way off considering how long it has taken Android 10 to arrive.
V11.0.1.0.QFLMIXM also brings the Redmi 7 onto the December 2020 security patch. The update should arrive on all global handsets as an OTA download once it passes Xiaomi's final Stable Beta testing.
