The Redmi Watch has reached third-party retailers, just a week after Xiaomi announced the smartwatch. Currently, Xiaomi only sells the Redmi Watch in China, although there have been multiple indications that it will give the device an international release. Until then, third-party retailers like AliExpress and Gearbest are the most secure way of purchasing a Redmi Watch.
At the time of writing, AliExpress sells the Redmi Watch for US$59.99, or US$11 cheaper than Gearbest does. However, it is worth keeping in mind that both retailers only offer the device in black, blue and white, with the green and pink versions still unavailable outside of China.
The Redmi Watch has a 1.4-inch display with a pixel density of 332 PPI. Xiaomi has included a heart rate monitor, numerous sports modes, over 100 pre-installed dials, and a 230 mAh battery. The smartwatch is waterproof to 5 ATM and IP68 certified, too. Hence, the Redmi Watch should be well suited to taking on all manner of activities, like swimming and running. Xiaomi has also equipped the smartwatch with an NFC module. However, it is unclear if the Redmi Watch would be compatible with services like Google Pay.
