The Xiaomi Redmi 9 Power will be India's answer to the Redmi Note 9 4G
It has only been a week since Xiaomi unveiled the Redmi Note 9 4G, which the company appears to have restricted to China. However, evidence has already emerged online that the Redmi Note 9 4G will receive an international release, albeit potentially only in India for the time being.
XDA Developers noticed, for example, that Xiaomi has already published the first build for the Redmi Note 9 4G, confirming its codename as 'lime'. The company has also released V12.0.1.0.QJQINXM for the 'limein' though, which is the Indian version of the 'lime'. The build.prop of V12.0.1.0.QJQINXM confirms that 'limein' is the codename of the Redmi 9 Power. The Google Play Console also now contains a reference to the Redmi 9 Power bearing the codename 'lime', as can be seen below.
Hence, it seems likely that Xiaomi will announce the Redmi Note 9 4G as the Redmi 9 Power in India. It is unknown when Xiaomi will unveil the Redmi 9 Power, but its specifications are known. Xiaomi has equipped the device with a 6.53-inch and 60 Hz IPS display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 SoC, along with a minimum of 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. There is also a 6,000 mAh battery and three rear-facing cameras. The device will support up to 18 W fast-charging too.
