Xiaomi has announced a MIUI 12 Global beta stable ROM update for the Redmi Note 9 and Redmi 10X 4G smartphones. The software update V12.0.6.0.QJOMIXM for Global variants of the Redmi Note 9 and Redmi 10X 4G will be initially rolled out for limited testing before a wider public rollout commences.

A software update for the Redmi Note 9, which is rebadged as the Redmi 10X 4G in some markets, has been released by Xiaomi. The MIUI 12 beta stable V12.0.6.0.QJOMIXM update is for the Global model of the smartphones mentioned, and it is currently in a testing phase so has only been sent out to a limited amount of users.

Once the new MIUI 12 update has been thoroughly tested then it will become a regular stable release and will be made available to all Redmi Note 9 and Redmi 10X 4G smartphone owners. However, Xiaomi has made it clear that there is no specific time frame for a public rollout, and it will depend on if the beta ROM has bugs or not.

Xiaomi has requested that the changelogs and ROM links not be shared, although it’s believed this particular update features increased system security and the Android security patches for December. FAQs for the Redmi Note 9 MIUI 12-related update have been published, and it seems there might be some issues already present based on a recent user post.
