The Redmi Note 10 may be Xiaomi's current bread and butter, but beneath that is expected to be a slew of cheaper phones, starting with the Redmi 10 and moving downwards. For some reason, Xiaomi withheld the Redmi 10 for four months after releasing the Redmi Note 10, but that looks set to change.
The Redmi 10 is on its way, and specs of the phone have now leaked by way of a retail listing. The Redmi 10 is tipped to sport a 6.5-inch FHD+ 90 Hz LCD. While Redmi Note 10 owners may feel they're missing out on the higher refresh rate screen, they have the advantage of an AMOLED. An 8 MP selfie camera will be housed in a centered hole punch.
At the back of the Redmi 10 will be a camera module that looks identical to that of the Redmi Note 10. Three cameras will reside there: a 50 MP main camera, joined by an 8 MP and a 2 MP camera. Our previous report on this indicates the 50 MP camera will be Samsung's S5KJN1. Under the hood is expected to be the Helio G88, MediaTek's new 12 nm chipset that's an incremental upgrade on last year's Helio G85.
The Redmi 10 will ship with up to 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, although we expect the base model to have a 4/64 GB configuration. 18 W charging and a 5000 mah battery complete a solid spec sheet. The phone is listed at US$249, though that appears to be for the top-tier 128 GB SKU.
