The Xiaomi Mi 11 will be launched on December 28 and live images and promo renders of the flagship smartphone have appeared on social media right on time to contribute to the growing hype. The renders show the Mi 11 in a total of four different colors, although it is believed only the blue one is genuine at the moment. The other colors show the Xiaomi Mi 11 in purple, white, and black, and it seems very likely that the Chinese OEM will offer the device in some or all of these options.
There are at least three new live images of the Xiaomi Mi 11 doing the rounds as well. One reveals that the smartphone will have stereo speakers and the other photos show the smartphone from the front and back. The front shot shows the Mi 11 will have a 12 GB RAM variant and operate on Android 11/MIUI 12.0.9. The familiar rear shot portrays the leathery texture of the back cover and the square housing for the main camera equipment (see below).
Lastly, Xiaomi has teased the display glass type, which is apparently going to be Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. A short video clip demonstrates just how tough this glass is, with the Mi 11 featuring a panel that has two times the scratch resistance of the previous iteration and is 1.5 times more resistant to drop damage. The display for the Xiaomi Mi 11 is apparently very expensive, so future owners will be glad that it is protected by Corning’s “toughest Gorilla Glass yet”.
