The Mi A2 Lite receives another update with the latest Android security patch
The Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite is now into its third year of software support, having been released in July 2018. The handset will no longer receive another OS update, but it should still be good for security updates until at least July 2021. For the time being, V11.0.17.0.QDLMIXM brings the January 2021 security patch to the Mi A2 Lite, along with supposed system performance optimisations and improved stability.
Xiaomi always includes 'Optimized system performance' and 'Improved system security and stability' in the changelog for security patch updates, though. Hence, we suspect that V11.0.17.0.QDLMIXM only upgrades the Mi A2 Lite to Google's latest security patch.
V11.0.17.0.QDLMIXM should arrive as a small over-the-air (OTA) download at around 16 MB in size. If your device is yet to receive a notification to download V11.0.17.0.QDLMIXM, then you can download the OTA manually via the link below. Please note that this file is hosted on Xiaomi's servers. The same applies to the recovery and fastboot ROMs, which could be downloaded and flashed if you have run into trouble on your Mi A2 Lite.
