Xiaomi only announced the Mi 11 a few weeks ago, but attention has already turned to the company's next flagship smartphone, the Mi 11 Pro. We should stress that the Mi 11 is a great smartphone on paper though, with Xiaomi including a Snapdragon 888 chipset, a 120 Hz and 1440p AMOLED screen and a 108 MP camera. However, the Mi 11 Pro will have even better hardware, just as the Mi 10 Pro did compared to the Mi 10.
The Mi 11 Pro is expected to arrive next month, and Digital Chat Station believes that it will be the first smartphone capable of charging wirelessly at up to 80 W. The Mi 11 is no slouch in this department either, with its peak wireless charging wattage of 50 W surpassing that of most contemporary flagship smartphones. Xiaomi has already showcased that it retrofitted 80 W wireless charging capabilities into a Mi 10 Pro, so it is no secret that the Chinese company has been working on the technology for a while.
Xiaomi also released the Mi 10 Ultra with 120 W wired charging last year, so we would expect this technology to make its way to the Mi 11 Pro. Apparently, Xiaomi awaits regulatory approval on equipping the Mi 11 Pro with 80 W wireless charging. If regulators approve of Xiaomi's technology in time, then we could see the Mi 11 Pro fully recharging wirelessly in under 30 minutes.
