Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite turns up on the FCC and BIS while new specs leak suggests an AMOLED panel for the likely mid-range champ
We recently reported about an apparent leak concerning a Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite device and we now have some more details that point to the existence of this potential mid-range top dog. While the Mi 11 has been wowing customers in China and there are plenty of signs pointing to a Pro variant, a Lite model has been slowly slipping in somewhat under the radar. A device believed to be the Mi 11 Lite has been spotted on both the FCC and BIS and there are a few new rumored specs circulating about the smartphone.
The named Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite appeared at the FCC as model M2101K9AG (Global version) while a variant with the model number M2101K9AI (India version) was spotted on BIS. It’s believed the mid-range smartphone has the codename “Courbet”, which has also been linked to the POCO F2, so there is some speculation that the Mi 11 Lite might be rebranded for some markets. Two configurations have been unearthed: One with 6 GB + 64 GB and another with 6 GB + 128 GB.
A 4,150-mAh battery is apparently on board while the Mi 11 Lite will be able to utilize 33 W fast charge technology. Arguably, the most interesting specs in a Telegram leak state an AMOLED panel for the smartphone and an SM7150 platform for the processor. SM7150 signifies a Snapdragon 730, Snapdragon 730G, or most likely a Snapdragon 732G, which has already been suggested in an earlier leak. Having an AMOLED screen will certainly attract buyers to the Mi 11 Lite, and if Xiaomi continues the Mi 11’s aggressive pricing structure, then it seems likely the Lite device will end up being a champion in the mid-range smartphone sector.
