The Mi Mix 3 was launched back in 2018. Xiaomi has been coy about its plans for a Mi Mix 4 release since then, but it appears that the company is now gearing up for that phone this year. And it could be joined by the Mi Note 11.

Xiaomi released the Mi Mix 3 back in 2018, with the Mi Mix 3 5G following two months after. For some reason, the company has failed to follow it up with a successor since then, but it appears that a Mi Mix 4 may finally be on the way.

As spotted in the source code of Xiaomi's own website, en.miui.com, it appears the Chinese company has plans to release the Mi Mix 4. The phone is listed alongside devices like the Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, Poco F2 Pro, and even more interestingly, the Mi Note 11. It would seem that Xiaomi also has plans for a Mi Note 11.

Xiaomi went from releasing the Mi Note 3 in 2017 to the Mi Note 10 in 2019, with the latter bearing the honor of being the first smartphone to sport a 108 MP camera. Most expected a direct successor in the Mi Note 11 last year but a release may be scheduled for this year instead.

It will be interesting to see what Xiaomi does with the Mi Mix 4. Typically, the Mi Mix series has been Xiaomi's testing bed for new, futuristic designs. The original Mi Mix, for example, set the industry along its current path of the bezel-less form. It does feel like smartphone design has gradually plateaued, however, so the Mi Mix 4 could be an interesting release.
