Xiaomi shares first full RedmiBook Pro picture: Apple MacBook Pro mimic that also has Thunderbolt 4
Xiaomi has already shared a wealth of details about the soon-to-be-released RedmiBook Pro laptops, which include the RedmiBook Pro 15 series with Intel Tiger Lake-H35 processors and the RedmiBook Pro 15S range powered by AMD Ryzen 5000H chips. Now the Chinese OEM has teased an almost full look at one of the SKUs and revealed that Thunderbolt 4/USB4 is on board.
The picture of the RedmiBook Pro shows how much it resembles a MacBook Pro, which is hardly surprising as Xiaomi has often been accused of mimicking products from the Apple range. There is no numpad visible on this particular RedmiBook Pro, which could mean there will be both 14-inch and 15-inch options coming. It’s also possible to see just how narrow Xiaomi has made the bezels for the 2021 refresh.
The latest teaser image from Xiaomi is dedicated to the Thunderbolt 4 port located on the laptop’s left-hand side. The manufacturer proudly boasts that the presence of this port means users can connect to two external 4K displays or even one external 8K display if they so desire. It’s likely this port will only be found on the Intel Tiger Lake variants of the RedmiBook Pro, though. The updated laptops will be launched on the same day as the Redmi K40 and Redmi K40 Pro smartphones: February 25.
