Now that all of Asus' ROG-branded gaming laptops have been unveiled, the only remaining gaming notebooks from Asus are a part of the TUF series. The Asus TUF Dash F15 is the best Asus has to offer in that series, as it packs the newest hardware available on the market, including Intel Tiger Lake processors and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3000 series graphics cards. ASUS TUF Gaming Dash F15 will be available starting from Q1 2021 in North America, with its price to be revealed at a later point.
The Asus TUF Gaming Dash F15 comes with three CPU choices: the Intel Core i7-11375H, Core i7-11370H and Core i5-11300H. For reasons best known to Asus, the notebook has only one variant with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 as the graphics card. Moving on to the display, the Asus TUF Gaming Dash F15 comes with a 15.6-inch FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS LCD panel. Its maxed-out version has a 240Hz refresh rate, along with 100% sRBG gamut coverage. The lower-specced version is clocked at 144Hz. Combined with a Core-i7 11375H, the GeForce RTX 3070 should be able to push 240 fps in most, if not all competitive e-sports titles.
Much to the delight of fans and enthusiasts alike, Asus has made it relatively easy for users to upgrade the Asus TUF Gaming Dash F15's RAM and storage. One can easily access the SO-DIMM and M.2 slots via the bottom panel by undoing one Philips head screw. The notebook supports up to 32GB of RAM and 2TB of solid-state storage. Connectivity options on the Asus TUF Gaming Dash F15 include one Thunderbolt 4.0 port, three USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports, one 3.5mm combo audio jack and an RJ45 Ethernet port.
Asus claims that the Asus TUF Gaming Dash F15's 76Wh battery can last up to 16.5 hours on battery. While that may be true for casual web browsing and other light tasks, that number will drop significantly under gaming loads. The included power adaptor charges the laptop at 200W. Its Thunderbolt 4.0 port can also be used for the same, along with 100W USB PC compliant chargers.
