The high-performing AMD Ryzen chip in Tesla's upgraded infotainment system apparently also decreases the range of the electric car (Image: Tesla)

Tesla's upgraded infotainment system powered by AMD Ryzen CPUs negatively impacts the range of the Model 3 and others

More performance sometimes results in a higher power consumption, which is why Tesla had to inform certain customers that the projected range of their ordered Model 3 is lower due to the recently introduced AMD Ryzen CPUs which now power Tesla's infotainment systems.

Infinix InBook X2 adds features not found on the InBook X1 Pro, but performance remains the same

Infinix InBook X2 adds features not found on the InBook X1 Pro, but performance hasn't changed

It looks like Infinix will be sticking with older Intel Ice Lake CPUs for yet another year like to keep prices at more affordable levels. The display remains excellent with its >90 percent sRGB coverage even if it suffers from more noticeable ghosting.

Apple is now allowing dating apps in Netherlands to offer non-Apple payment options. (Image source: Apple)

Apple to allow independent payment options for dating apps in Netherlands, complying with a ruling from a Dutch market regulator

Complying with an order by the Netherlands' Authority for Consumers and Markets, Apple is now allowing developers of dating apps to offer non-Apple payment options. By allowing developers to use payment options outside of Apple's system, the company is forgoing the 15-30% cut that it takes on app sales and in-app purchases.

A board in the RTX 40 series is expected to reach a 600 W peak power requirement. (Image source: Nvidia (RTX 3090)/Unsplash - edited)

Power-hungry Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 or RTX 4090 Ti may require a 1,200 W PSU to offer double Ampere performance

Either the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 or RTX 4090 Ti is likely to come with a TDP rating of 600 W. If accurate, desktop PC builders would have to look into securing at least a 1,200 W-capable power supply unit (PSU) for maximum efficiency. The “Lovelace” RTX 40 series is expected to launch at the end of 2022.
