Samsung Galaxy A03 Review - A budget-friendly phone with features suitable for everyday use

The Samsung Galaxy A03 provides a decent user experience for most people, especially those who simply expect the phone to do daily tasks. Compared to the Galaxy A03s, the Galaxy A03 offers faster performance, though it's not very noticeable. Serious users will probably notice the difference, especially when opening apps. However, one drawback to the Galaxy A03 is the micro-USB port, which I think should not be used nowadays. Ultimately, the choice is yours. For the price, I definitely recommend the Galaxy A03 as you will get a better value with the performance of the Unisoc T606. At RM469, it's also cheaper than the A03s (RM559). Other suitable alternatives for this phone include the vivo Y20 (RM459), realme Narzo 50i (RM449), OPPO A16 (RM479), and Redmi 9C (RM449). Are you interested in this smartphone? So, for the price of starting price of RM439, this is indeed a very capable phone. However, the RM469 variant only comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage – which I think is just way too little even though this phone has a microSD card slot. There is another variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage but it is priced at RM549. Still, I think for the price of RM549, it’s a decent price.

The Samsung Galaxy A03 is an exemplary example of a budget phone with a large display and a huge battery along with the added bonus of a 3.5mm audio jack and expandable memory via a dedicated microSD card slot. For RM549, you’re getting a well built, affordable phone that is a solid shot across the bow for other budget phone vendors. The cheaper variant does look tempting but it’s well worth the extra outlay to get more RAM and storage. The Samsung Galaxy A03 epitomises the ideals of a budget phone with essential features that include a large display and long battery life with a fair performance to price ratio at a modest price tag.

The Samsung Galaxy A03 is the rebooted version of the Samsung Galaxy A03s announced in November 2021, and the phone is expected to fall in the price range of $150 (Rs 11,999) approx. The phone renders a 6.5-inches PLS IPS display panel that generates average pixel density support, while the aspect ratio is good. As for the processing powers, the phone offers a standard 4x 1.6GHz cloaking speed chipset that renders decent renders mediocre results.
