Chuwi has upgraded the HiPad Pro, a tablet that it launched in July 2021. The new model comes with a few changes while retaining the original model's design. The new HiPad Pro should be available before the end of the month for under US$299.

Chuwi has announced a refresh for the HiPad Pro, a tablet that it unveiled in July 2021 but did not start selling until August. Originally, Chuwi equipped the HiPad Pro with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 SoC that it mated to a 10.8-inch display running at 1080p. The tablet also had 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128 GB of UFS 2.1 flash storage.

Seemingly, the new HiPad Pro retains the memory configuration of its predecessor. The tablet also still has a 10.8-inch display with a punch-hole front-facing camera. However, Chuwi has upgraded the HiPad Pro to a 2,560 x 1,600-pixel panel, known as 1600p or 2.5K. Supposedly, the panel has a 288 PPI pixel density and 97% DCI P3 colour space coverage, plus a 90% screen-to-body ratio.

Additionally, Chuwi has switched the Snapdragon 662 for the MediaTek Helio G95, which we have tested in the Redmi Note 10S and Moto G60s, among other devices. According to our database, the MediaTek Helio G95 averages 41% higher benchmark scores than the Snapdragon 662 that preceded it.

Chuwi states that the new HiPad Pro will be available later this month for under US$299. The tablet should be orderable from Chuwi's AliExpress store.
