Chuwi has revealed the UBook XPro, another Windows-based 2-in-1 by the company. The UBook XPro has a 13-inch and 1440p display, along with the Intel Core i7-7Y75, an old and low-powered Kaby Lake processor.

Chuwi has revealed the UBook XPro, a 2-in-1 device with a built-in kickstand and a detachable keyboard. Seemingly a successor to the UBook X, the UBook XPro features a 13-inch IPS display with a 3:2 aspect ratio and a 2,160 x 1,440-pixel native resolution. According to Chuwi, the tablet weighs 925 g without its keyboard attached and measures 307.4 x 217.3 x 9.2 mm. Additionally, a 2 MP front-facing camera sits above the display, which Chuwi complements with a 5 MP rear-facing sensor.

Unfortunately, Chuwi has elected to equip the UBook XPro with the Core i7-7Y75, a dual-core processor that is nearly six years old. From Intel's Kaby Lake family, the Core i7-7Y75 has a 4.5 W TDP, is manufactured on a 14 nm process and boosts to 3.6 GHz. The processor supports Intel Hyper-Threading too, and includes an HD Graphics 615 GPU.

While it is disappointing to see Chuwi choose such an old processor, the Core i7-7Y75 should offer a 50% performance boost over the Celeron N4100 found in the UBook X. Separately, the UBook X Pro ships with 8 GB of LPDDR3 RAM, a 256 GB SSD and a 38 Wh battery. Also, Chuwi has included a USB Type-C port, two USB 3.0 Type-A ports and a micro HDMI port, along with a 3.5 mm jack, a micro SD card slot and a DC charging port.

Chuwi does not list the UBook XPro's price on its website, currently. However, the device is already orderable through Banggood for US$489.99, excluding shipping. Please note that this price does not include a keyboard or stylus either. Presumably, Chuwi will charge over US$500 for these as a bundle.
