The Exynos 990-powered Samsung Galaxy S20 series is not a good choice for smartphone gamers

When shelling out up to the equivalent of US$1600 for a new phone, one would expect it to be the class-leading in performance, or at least better than last year's releases. Not the Galaxy S20, though, as a new test has shown the Exynos Galaxy S20+ getting absolutely destroyed by a Snapdragon 855-powered S10+ at gaming.

Apple's iPad Pro 2020 A12Z Bionic SoC shows minimal improvements over the 2018 A12X model in latest AnTuTu benchmarks

The new A12Z SoC manages to impress us in a negative way. We were suspecting it would not be that much faster than the A12X, but we would have never guessed that it only has a 1% edge over the 2018 model. Still, the performance is well above anything available from the competitors, yet it does not necessarily recommend it as a worthy upgrade since Apple will release even better models in 6 months.

The Core i9-10900K may be using some tricks to reach 5.3 GHz. (Image source: Appuals)The Core i9-10900K has graced 3DMark before, but not at 5.3 GHz. Brought to our attention by @_rogame, the new is the first time that we have seent he 10 core Comet Lake S processor hitting such lofty clock speeds. Manufactured on a 14 nm process, the Core i9-10900K also has a 3.7 GHz base clock and supports Intel Hyper-Threading. Turbo Boost Max 3.0 (TBM 3.0) and Thermal Velocity Boost (TVB) will make an appearance, too. We should point out that the Core i9-10900K may only be capable of reaching 5.3 GHz on a single core. Additionally, it may potentially use TVB to reach this speed, in which case it could only maintain 5.3 GHz temporarily before dropping back to lower levels. Previous rumours have suggested that the Core i9-10900K could cost US$562 upon release. Intel may have delayed the launch of Comet Lake-S until May or June 2020, too. Separately, the 3DMark listing essentially confirms the existence of the ASUS ROG MAXIMUS XII APEX, likely an LGA 1200 socket motherboard. The benchmark states that the motherboard and processor support DDR4-4500 RAM, too. There is no word yet about the release of pricing of the ROG MAXIMUS XII APEX, though.
