There are many fans eager to get their hands on the powerful Xbox Series X next-gen console, but although Microsoft has already revealed its design and full specifications, there is still no official word about a specific release date and price. However, a potential error on the Xbox product page may have helped Xbox watchers pinpoint a more accurate release window than the current “Holiday 2020”.
As reported by GameRant, text on the Xbox product page stated that the Xbox Series X would be coming in time for Thanksgiving 2020, which falls on 26 November this year for the USA (October 12 for Canada). This offers a more precise Xbox Series X release date than the “Holiday 2020” confirmation, which could be interpreted as being anywhere from late November to early January depending on your definition.
However, the Director of Programming for Xbox Live, Larry Hryb, soon took to Twitter to inform everyone that the accidental “leak” was actually a case of information being “inaccurately listed”. He also stated that the company was still committed to “launching Holiday 2020”. But as many people count the holiday season as including Thanksgiving, then it could be that the Xbox Series X release date has just been revealed.
An Xbox product page in some regions inaccurately listed the launch date for Xbox Series X as Thanksgiving 2020. We are committed to launching Holiday 2020
