Redmi K30 Pro: Purple and Silver colour options, five-way breathing notification LED and huge vapour chamber cooling confirmed
Announced via Weibo, Xiaomi has teased yet more information about the Redmi K30 Pro. Set for release on March 24, we already knew that the device would feature a notchless AMOLED display and a pop-up selfie camera among other features.
Now, there has been confirmation that the Redmi K30 Pro will support 180 Hz touch sampling, a 5,000,000 contrast ratio and an average maximum brightness of 800 nits. Apparently, the display can peak at 1,200 nits.
Xiaomi is emphasising the device's front-facing camera, too. Not only is its pop-up mechanism rated for 300,000 opens and closes, but it will also incorporate breathing notification LEDs in a nod to the Redmi K20 Pro. However, the Redmi K30 Pro will support more colours than the Redmi K20 Pro does. Specifically, the Redmi K30 Pro will be capable of displaying up to five colours. These will be called Gradient Blue, Mint Green, Classic Blue, Grass Green and Classic Red, for reference.
Moreover, Xiaomi is boasting about the cooling capabilities of its upcoming flagship. Comparing it to the Honor V30 Pro, Xiaomi claims that the Redmi K30 Pro will remain 3.2 °C cooler after an hour of heavy gaming thanks to its stainless steel vapour chamber cooling system. At 3,435 mm², the system spans a significant portion of the device's back panel.
Separately, a Redmi K30 Pro unit appears to have been spotted being given the finishing touches on an assembly line. Sporting a striking blue colour, the image also shows the device's box. This blue colourway may be a fifth for the Redmi K30 Pro too, as promotional images have only shown four colours so far.
