Redmi K30 Pro: Xiaomi confirms notchless and HDR10+ AMOLED display; 3x optical zoom, 30x zoom and dazzling white colourway are on the way too
Xiaomi and Redmi are clearly excited to release the Redmi K30 Pro on March 24, with the latter releasing yet more images about the upcoming device. As we suspected yesterday, the Redmi K30 Pro will feature a notchless display in a nod to the Redmi K20 Pro. Additionally, Xiaomi will include a single sensor in the pop-up front-facing camera mechanism, as the photo below demonstrates.
Better still, the Redmi K30 Pro will have an AMOLED panel, a theoretically significant upgrade over the LCD panel in the Redmi K30. However, the display will only operate at 60 Hz, which may disappoint some people. HDR10+ support is on board, though.
Separately, Xiaomi has teased that the Redmi K30 Pro's cameras will be capable of up to 30x digital zoom. Additionally, there will be a dedicated 3x optical zoom sensor.
Overall, the Redmi K30 Pro resembles a blend of the best bits of the Redmi K30 and Redmi K20 Pro with some flagship hardware thrown in. The Redmi K30 Pro will likely remain reasonably priced though, being a Xiaomi smartphone after all.
