Hoping that Xiaomi would release an update for your Mi A2 that would the numerous bugs that Android 10 introduced? Think again, as Xiaomi has opted for a different tactic instead.

Xiaomi is not covering itself in glory over its software support for its Android One devices. In the last month or so, owners of the Mi A2, Mi A2 Lite and Mi A3 have all experienced lacklustre support, with Android 10 upgrades reportedly bricking some devices. Even if most handsets have not suffered such an extreme fate, the very least that one can currently expect is bugs and plenty of them.

To that end, we had been hopeful that Xiaomi would address the bugs that it introduced to the Mi A2 and Mi A3 with their Android 10 upgrades. Sadly, that has not proven the case with Mi A3, and now the same applies to the Mi A2.

Rolling out today, V11.0.6.0.QDIMIXM is a small OTA update for those who have already upgraded their Mi A2 to Android 10. If you are yet to do so, then the new build will be a 1.3 GB download.

V11.0.6.0.QDIMIXM only upgrades the Mi A2 to the March security update, though. According to multiple reports on XDA Developers, the bugs from the previous Android 10 build remain, just as is the case with the Mi A3.

In short, we would recommend holding off from upgrading your Mi A2 to Android 10 for the time being. From the sounds of it, V11.0.6.0.QDIMIXM is just as buggy as its predecessor.
