IFA 2018 | Casio's WSD-F30 is a longer-lasting and (slightly) slimmer rugged smartwatch

The new WSD-F30 is a rugged outdoor smartwatch from Casio. The WSD-F30 is about 4 mm thinner than Casio's other rugged smartwatches but manages to run for longer, thanks in part to a new "Extend Mode" setting that shuts off some wireless radios. Casio has yet to announce pricing or a release date.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 8180 for Windows 10 on ARM shows up on Geekbench

A Geekbench entry has surfaced for a new Qualcomm SoC and a closer examination reveals that this is indeed the Snapdragon 8180 SoC that was rumored to be in development exclusively for Windows 10 on ARM notebooks. The Snapdragon 8180 was originally referred to as the Snapdragon 1000 and it offers a higher 15W TDP envelope to power typical mainstream computing tasks. The initial benchmark scores, however, are not very convincing.

If this proves to be the RTX 2070 card, then the prices for the new cards are more than justified. (Source: PCMag)

Nvidia's RTX 2080 is only a smidge faster than the GTX 1080 Ti in leaked 3DMark Time Spy benchmark?

It is not clear if these results are provided by an RTX 2080 or 2070 card. Haters would quickly point out that if this is the RTX 2080, the price Nvidia is asking for the card is clearly unjustified. On the other hand, if this card is the RTX 2070, the high prices are justified. If anything, this leak might have stirred the controversies even more.

No surprises here: The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is hard to repair

With a repairability score of 4 out of 10 awarded by iFixit, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is considered to have a nicely laid out modular internal design that only uses standard Philips screws.
