Reviews for the HP EliteBook 830 G5-3PZ05UT

With last year's Elitebook G4 being more or less a refresh of the previous generation, HP set out to make a bold statement with its 5th gen devices. What inspired these bold new designs was the need to appeal to a more tech-savvy audience that cares about aesthetics and design, as well as performance. Let's face it, the younger you are the more you grew up surrounded by technology; young professionals are more tech savvy than ever before. Today's modern business user wants substance, security, portability, connectivity, and of course, style. On all of these fronts the EliteBook G5 series delivers.

Intel UHD Graphics 620: Integrated GPU (GT2, 24 EUs) found on some Kaby-Lake-Refresh CPU models (15 W ULV series). Technically identical to the previous Kaby-Lake GPU called HD Graphics 620.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

There are hardly any tablets in this display size range anymore. For subnotebooks, on the other hand, it is the standard format.
The advantage of subnotebooks is that the entire laptop can be small and therefore easily portable. The smaller display also has the advantage of requiring less power, which further improves battery life and thus mobility. The disadvantage is that reading texts is more strenuous on the eyes. High resolutions are more likely to be found in standard laptops.

In 2023, HP had an approximate market share of 22% of global PC sales, making it number 2 after Lenovo.
70%: This rating is poor. More than three quarters of the models are rated better. That is rather not a purchase recommendation. Even if verbal ratings in this area do not sound that bad ("sufficient" or "satisfactory"), they are usually euphemisms that disguise a classification as a below-average laptop.
