The Mate 20 Lite has been listed on a Polish retail website, with hands-on reviews also giving us a clearer image of Huawei's next unassuming mid-ranger.

Huawei is set to release its new Mate devices in the coming weeks but one of them has managed to find its way out into the wild already. The Mate 20 Lite, the cheapest and least powerful in the series, may not have been launched but its currently available for pre-orders on a Polish retail website.

This wouldn’t be the first time this particular Polish website has listed Huawei products before they were launched, as the P20 Lite was also listed before it was announced back in April.

According to the listing, the Mate 20 Lite will feature the new Kirin 710, a 6.3-inch FHD+ display, 6 GB of RAM, a 20 MP (f/1.8) + 2 MP dual rear camera setup, 24 MP (f/2.0) + 2 MP dual selfie shooters, and a 3750 mAh battery.  Both 2 MP cameras are depth sensors for bokeh.

All of this in mind, the Mate 20 Lite looks like an uninspired release. Of course, the Lite versions of Huawei flagships never really have much in common with their more expensive siblings, and the Mate 20 Lite is no different. It looks an awful lot like the Mate 10 Lite on paper, with the major differences being an improved SoC and a huge notch on the display. The cameras are also slightly better.

The Mate 20 Lite is listed with a price tag of PLN 1,600, or about US$435. We expect the device to be launched with a more appropriate price tag, as there's not much to justify this over the Honor 10.
