Huawei Mate 10 to have four models, Maimang 6 the Mate 10 Lite
The upcoming Mate 10 has been building up steam, with pricing details and images of both it and its larger Pro sibling surfacing yesterday. This time around, though, new information from Twitter ITK Evan Blass has pointed towards the Mate 10 coming in four models, with the Maimang 6—which we previously thought would be the G10—being the Lite version of the flagship.
The regular Mate 10, codenamed "Alps", supposedly sports a 5.9-inch AMOLED display, with sources claiming either a FHD or QHD resolution. It will also come in three variants—by memory configuration—starting at US$650 and rising up to US$850.
The Mate 10 Pro, codenamed "Blanc", features a 6-inch AMOLED QHD display and is said to come in four variants, with prices ranging from US$835 to US$1140.
The third Mate 10 model, the Mate 10 Lite, is actually the Maimang 6, which features a quad camera setup. Unlike the other models that are powered by the new Kirin 970, the Mate 10 Lite houses the Kirin 659, HiSilicon's 16nm mid-range SoC. It also sports a 5.9-inch FHD display, with 4 GB of LPDDR3 RAM, 64 GB of storage, and a 3340 mAh battery. It's expected to launch with a price tag of €379 in Europe, which translates to US$450, and is codenamed "Rhone".
The last of them is the luxury version of the Mate 10 Pro, of which nothing is known at the moment. There's a chance it's the same thing as the Mate 10 Pro but only with a premium finish. It's codenamed "Marcel".
