Huawei launched the Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro back in October. Like most of the company's flagship releases, the pair was accompanied by a Lite version, called the Mate 10 Lite. The Mate 10 Lite, sold in other markets as the Maimang 6 and Nova 2i, doesn't actually have much in common with the Mate 10 flagships, name aside. The device was never launched in the US, but can now be bought on Amazon for US$309.48.
The Mate 10 Lite is a mid-range device, and ships with a specifications sheet that shows that. It sports a 5.9-inch FHD+ display, Kirin 659, 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage, dual rear cameras (16 MP + 2 MP), dual selfie cameras (13 MP + 2 MP), and a 3340 mAh battery.
The Mate SE is, for all intents and purposes, the same device as the Mate 10 Lite. It does feature just the one selfie shooter, as opposed to the Lite's dual setup. It also costs US$250, US$60 less than the price of the Mate 10 Lite here, and comes with a warranty—the Mate 10 Lite doesn't. As such, it's a much better value for money buy.
