Huawei has won this year's Best Connected Mobile Device of Mobile World Congress 2019 for the Mate X. The GSMA conferred this title on the new foldable phone at the end of MWC19 (on February 28, 2019) at the GLOMO awards event. Kevin Ho, who accepted the award on the OEM's behalf, said that his team were "very excited and honored" to receive it.

Huawei has commenced rollout of Android 9 Pie-based EMUI 9.0 to older flagships such as the Mate 9 series along with the Nova 2S in China. The rollout is happening as per expected timelines and should hit users in China this week followed by a global rollout shortly. Spotify has announced that it is now available in India bringing its total number of markets to 79. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will make an appearance at Star Wars Celebration Chicago on April 13. The story for the game, which is being developed by Respawn Entertainment and will be published by Electronic Arts, is based on a Padawan who manages to escape the infamous Order 66. The title is expected to be released in fall this year.

A little bit more information about Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 1650 graphics card has been made available thanks to a Twitter post by Andreas Schilling. The tweet includes some marketing material for the upcoming GPU and there is also a small revelation about how much and what kind of memory the GTX 1650 will have.

The F(x)tec Pro 1 is a modern take on the slide-out keyboard that was once so common on Android phones. Vivo launched the V15 Pro mid-ranger just a week ago, however, the company is ready to announce another mid-ranger, this time for the X-series. The USB Implementers Forum has announced that the next generation of USB will be called USB 3.2. The new standard is capable of transferring data at 20Gbps, which puts it on a similar level to Intel’s Thunderbolt 2 technology first introduced in 2014 – the key difference is that USB is a much more generic technology and is much cheaper as a result.

Nvidia has added two new members to the MX product family: The GeForce MX230 and the GeForce MX250. Both GPUs are based on Pascal architecture, offer DirectX 12 support, and they both utilize Nvidia’s Optimus graphics-switching technology. The MX230 and MX250 also support Vulkan 1.1, OpenGL 4.6, and OpenCL 1.2 APIs.
