Vivo launched the V15 Pro mid-ranger just a week ago, however, the company is ready to announce another mid-ranger, this time for the X-series. Compared to the V15 Pro, the upcoming X27 would get a few upgrades like the 8 GB of RAM, a slightly better 13 MP wide angle camera on the back, and a bigger 3,920 mAh battery, but would also feature a slightly slower Snapdragon 710 SoC and only a 16 MP selfie cam.

Vivo already presented its update for the popular mid-range V series, but, according to TENAA, the Chinese company is almost ready to announce another mid-range model known as the X27 that features a few upgraded specs.

Display-wise, the X27 will come with the same 6.39-inch FHD+ AMOLED display featured with the V15 Pro. TENAA does not mention anything about the fingerprint scanner; however, considering the previous X models integrated an in-display scanner, the upcoming X27 model should stick to the same specs. For the SoC department, the X27 is getting a Snapdragon 710 chip instead of the slightly faster Snapdragon 675. There will be 128 GB and 256 GB storage options, and the RAM capacity will be upped to 8 GB.

Unlike the V15 Pro, the selfie camera is limited to 16 MP. TENAA does not specify if the selfie comes with a pop-up mechanism or it is embedded in the display, so we will have to wait and see how things turn out in this regard. Nevertheless, the rear camera setup is getting the 48 MP main sensor with a slightly upgraded 13 MP wide-angle shooter, plus the usual 5 MP depth sensor.

Then there is the bigger 3,920 mAh battery that should provide more juice for the upgrades. The X27 is slated to come with the latest Android Pie OS and the modified proprietary Funtouch interface. Additionally, the new smartphone model is expected to include a gold color option and should be officially announced in a few weeks.
