MediaTek Helio P70-powered Vivo S1 hits Geekbench
Chinese brand Vivo is quite busy these days — the V15 Pro was recently introduced in India, followed by the less potent and cheaper V15, which arrived in Thailand last week. Now, we hear that the Vivo V15 will make its debut in India on March 15, but it could also hit China as the Vivo S1.
The Vivo V1831A/T smartphone that has been recently certified by TENAA is apparently the upcoming Vivo S1, and it looks like the device that was spotted on Geekbench as "vivo V1831A" is the same. However, the TENAA listing reveals a pop-up 24.8 MP selfie shooter, which is a downgrade from the 32 MP front camera of the Vivo V15.
In addition to the aforementioned selfie camera, the Vivo S1 is expected to feature a MediaTek Helio P70, 6 GB of memory, 128 GB of internal storage, a 6.59-inch IPS LCD touchscreen without a notch or a camera hole, a rear-mounted fingerprint reader, a triple main camera, as well as a 4,000 mAh battery. The operating system will be Android Pie with FunTouch OS 9 on top.
In China, the price of the Vivo S1 is expected to be around the equivalent of US$300 — most likely just a bit south of this value.
