Asus publishes Android Pie update roadmap
Sooner or later, Asus ROG Phone owners will be able to enjoy all the benefits that Android Pie brings with it. However, it looks like Asus is planning to bring Google's latest mobile operating system to quite a few other handsets, including a few mid-range and affordable ones. The only problem is that — at least in this moment — the official Android Pie update roadmap that was revealed on the ZenTalk forum is no longer available.
Earlier this week, Wccftech has spotted this topic on the ZenTalk forum. As I mentioned earlier, there is not much to discover there right now, since the only message it displays is "Specific thread does not exist or is under moderation, please return." Before going down, the list of Asus devices to receive Android Pie included the following items:
- ZenFone 4 Max (ZC554KL)
- ZenFone 4 Selfie (ZD553KL)
- ZenFone 4 Max (ZC520KL)
- ZenFone Live (ZB553KL)
- ZenFone 4 Max (ZB520KL)
- ZenFone Max Plus (M1) Clear Soft Bumper (ZB570TL)
- ZenFone 5Q (ZC600KL)
- ZenFone Live (L1) Clear Soft Bumper (ZA550KZ / ZA551KL)
- ZenFone Max Pro (ZB601KL / ZB602KL)
- ZenFone Max (M1) Clear Soft Bumper (ZB555KL / ZB556KL)
- ZenFone 5 (ZE620KL)
- ZenFone 5Z (ZS620KL)
- ASUS ROG Phone (ZS600KL)
- ZenFone Max Pro (M2) Clear Soft Bumper (ZB631KL/ ZB630KL)
- ZenFone Max (M2) Clear Soft Bumper (ZB633KL / ZB632KL)
The aforementioned Asus handsets were all thrown in together in no particular order and the launch date of the update was not mentioned for any of them. We can only assume that Asus is now figuring out when the update will be ready and that is why the original post is no longer available.
If you happen to check the ZenTalk link mentioned earlier and the Android Pie update roadmap is back online, please drop a comment below.
