Deal | Walmart discounts EVGA, MSI, and Asus GeForce RTX 2080 GPUs; Nvidia offers Founders Edition game bundle
If you have been waiting for the price to drop before snapping up an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 graphics card, you might want to browse through Walmart’s current offerings. The retail giant has been slashing prices on a wide selection of RTX 2080 variants from a number of AIB partners. Some items have been reduced by over US$200.
From EVGA, the standout offer is for the GeForce RTX 2080 XC Ultra Gaming PCIE 8 GB GDDR6 2HDB Fan LED, which is currently priced at US$799.99 (down from US$929.99). To sweeten the deal, this card comes with a Battlefield V + Anthem game bundle, so you can get straight to testing the ray tracing and DLSS capabilities of Nvidia’s product.
MSI’s GeForce RTX 2080 Duke 8G OC has had a rollback to US$779.99 (from US$815.99). It also comes with Battlefield V and Anthem. Or you can choose the company’s GeForce RTX 2080 Gaming X Trio card with the same game bundle for US$799.99 (discounted from US$899.99). But if you really want to push the boat out, perhaps take a look at MSI’s Sea Hawk X version of the RTX 2080. This has been listed at US$1,076.68 but is currently on offer for US$869 and includes both the aforementioned games.
Walmart also has some deals for Asus cards. An interested gamer could opt for the Asus Dual RTX 2080 Overclocked Edition, down from US$899 to US$815.99, or it could be the GeForce RTX 2080 O8G ROG Strix OC Edition that catches the eye with its big discount from US$1,031 to US$849.99. Both of these graphics cards come with the same two-game bundle as the MSI GPUs.
There’s also some savings to be had on one of PNY’s variants of the RTX 2080, but the biggest savings are on the very limited stock of the Founders Edition of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080. Two different deals are available, but both are priced at US$949.99, which is a reduction of over US$200 from US$1,168.49. The first deal includes Battlefield V, and the second offer comes with Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.
However, if your heart is really set on the Founders Edition, you would be better off heading over to Nvidia’s website. The GPU manufacturer is currently selling that particular version of the RTX 2080 for US$799 and you also get the Battlefield V + Anthem game bundle (there is a limit of two cards per customer).
