A wccftech.com correspondent has claimed to have unearthed new listings pertaining to the Turing RTX 2080 graphics card. Of course, what makes this leak interesting is that it also looks like a database entry for a new mobile version of the GPU. Such a move would mirror how NVIDIA has been handling card releases for the last few years.
This purported listing mentions a GeForce RTX 2080 Mobile specifically, along with the number TU104M and the device ID 1eab. The numbers and ID also match up with the contents of an NVIDIA GitHub. (It is to be found in the last few lines of the code.) However, it is puzzling to note that the company is moving ahead with the RTX 2080, while skipping over the RTX 2070, for its newest laptop-bound graphics solution. Nevertheless, the 2080 is the only card from the Turing lineup referred to as 'M' or 'Mobile' in either of these listings.
Therefore, it appears that this card is the first Turing 12-NFF based product that will make it onto laptops. Then again, the leak did not include any more pertinent information, such as when it will be released, what clock-speed it will have or what kind of TDP it will require. We will be sure to keep you up to date on these details as and when they are available on notebookcheck, net.
