Although the new GeForce RTX 2080 series cards should come out next week, Alienware fans can already place their orders for one of the two Aurora desktop PC setups that come with NVIDIA's latest beast inside. Unfortunately, these machines are definitely not for those on a tight budget.
Earlier this week, Alienware's co-founder, Frank Azor, has revealed on Twitter that the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080-driven Aurora desktops can be ordered from Dell.com. Sadly, it looks like deliveries will start in early November. Without further ado, these are the prices and the details of the two choices available in this moment:
- U$2,155.99 (down from U$2,199.99): Intel Core i7-8700K, 16 GB DDR4, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 OC with 8 GB GDDR6, 256 GB SSD + 2 TB HDD
- U$3,321.99 (down from U$3,603.98): Intel Core i7-8700K, 32 GB DDR4, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 OC with 8 GB GDDR6, 512 GB SSD + 2 TB HDD, 25-inch AW2518H monitor
In addition to the specs above, both these Aurora desktops feature a Z370-driven motherboard full of a wide range of connectivity features, including Bluetooth 4.1, 15 USB ports (4 on the front and 11 on the back), RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet, DisplayPort, and so on. The default operating system in Windows 10 Home 64-bit, but choosing to get Windows 10 Pro will only add US$58.80 to the prices mentioned earlier.
These being said, we will be waiting for your comments. Do you think the RTX 2080-powered Aurora is overpriced? Will you wait for future price cuts or do you want to ride the first wave?
