In a first-ever move, Frank Azor has just disclosed data related to the Dell and Alienware's gaming business and it is more than good. According to him, the gaming business that involves these two iconic brands is worth US$3 billion, which makes them the leaders of the market by a very large margin.

Dell and Alienware have not released any figures related to the performance of its gaming business so far, but the popularity of these two brands has obviously been a good sign for a while. However, those who wanted to see some figures should find out that Frank Azor has just revealed some basic information and it definitely looks good.

Top-ranked tech industry analyst Patrick Moorhead has recently posted the following message online: "@Dell and @Alienware’s @AzorFrank just told the group that it’s gaming business is a $3B business. This is the first public disclosure of this data. He said that is 3X the size anyone else’s."

While the above might not say much about the innovative products that the two brands might be working on, it would not be surprising to see an Alienware gaming phone showing up next year. Such a device has not been officially confirmed yet — and it might never arrive, after all — but Frank Azor has recently posted a message on Twitter that makes one wonder about a possible hidden meaning: "What's a gaming smartphone? I have yet to see such a genuine device."

Do you think that Alienware's co-founder is trying to say something? Would you buy an Alienware gaming handset? Let us know in the comments below.
