The new Alienware m15 only comes with an Intel Core i7-8750H processor for now, but — fortunately for those who have been asking about it — the Intel Core i5 will soon be added to the list of hardware options for this gaming notebook. Since this will come with a GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card, the performance drop in full HD resolution will probably be barely noticeable in most titles.
As usual, Frank Azor was really quick to answer a new Alienware-related question on Twitter, but this time he also came up with a rather accurate date. When asked about the plans for an i5 + GTX 1060 Alienware m15, his reply was the following: "Yes, we will be launching a few more configs in about 60 days. These are just our initial configs for now."
The four Alienware m15 models available right now come in Epic Silver and Nebula Red, but only one configuration that has a price tag of more than US$2,000 can be acquired in red. Let us hope that more color options — or at least the availability of the Nebula Red choice for the low-end configurations — will be taken into consideration by Frank Azor and the Alienware team as well.
If you still have any special wishes regarding the changes that Alienware should work on for the m15, please drop them in the comments section and we will try to find out if they can become reality or not.
