Alienware M15x officially discontinued

We heard yesterday that NotebookReview users had reported Dell’s M15x notebook missing from Dell’s online store, and it seems the notebook has been officially discontinued. According to Engadget, Dell has confirmed that the 15.6” machine will no longer be available and the company is turning their attention towards the rest of the Alienware lineup.

Last month Dell announced three new Alienware notebooks and as a result it seems the M15x was the odd man out. With the M11x and M14x taking care of the smaller end of the gaming spectrum and the M17x and M18X covering the desktop replacement portion of the market, there simply was no room for the 15.6” gaming notebook.

On the other hand, if you’re not intrigued by Dell’s latest additions or if you’re simply feeling a bit nostalgic, then you can head on over to Dell’s outlet refurbished store and grab an M15x for old times’ sake.
