Alienware M15x mysteriously removed from Dell website

Teaser
With the current M11x, M14x, M17x, and future M18x models, the M15x laptop could be getting squeezed out of the Alienware laptop lineup for good

Could Dell be discontinuing its Alienware M15x gaming laptop?

Users at NotebookReview have noticed that the popular M15x gaming laptop is currently missing in the U.S. and Australian Dell website. Current theories suggest that Dell could be making room for its updated lineup of Alienware R3 gaming laptops, including the M11x, M14x, and M18x, all of which were slowly leaked throughout March and April. Particularly, the M14x and M18x could have the potential to replace the M15x in terms of size, which would make the 15.6-incher superfluous in the Alienware laptop lineup.

Unfortunately, Dell has yet to make any official announcements regarding the future of the M15x. For those still interested, however, the laptop can still be found in the Dell outlet and refurbished online store. The M15x R2 is packed with the first generation Core i7-740QM CPU, at least 4GB RAM, dedicated Nvidia GeForce GTX 460M graphics, and a Full HD display.

The current Alienware laptop lineup consists of the M11x, M14x, and M17x, all of which are equipped with second generation Core processors and either a GeForce GT 540M, GT 555M, or GTX 460M graphics card. The 18.4-inch Alienware M18x, however, is not yet available, despite its leak more than a month ago.
