The Intel Core i9-11900KF got stuck in the deep end when it came to multi-core performance. (Image source: Intel/Showbiz - edited)

Intel Core i9-11900KF plunges past 5 GHz on Geekbench but multi-core cramp leaves it out of its depth against AMD's Ryzen 7 5800X and Ryzen 9 5900X

An Intel Core i9-11900KF processor from the Rocket Lake series has been spotted on Geekbench, where it managed a maximum frequency over 5 GHz. However, despite its fast clock rate, the single-core performance result left the i9-11900KF in the same vicinity as the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X and Ryzen 9 5900X. The Zen 3 Vermeer CPUs are lengths ahead in multi-core benchmarking, though.

Deal | MSI GL65 Leopard is now one of the cheapest gaming laptops with GeForce RTX 2070 Super graphics for $1300 USD

Just because GeForce RTX 30 laptops are available doesn't mean older RTX 20 models are suddenly useless. Users in the market for a new gaming laptop ought to keep an eye out for the inevitable sales on last year's top GeForce RTX 20 sellers.

A delicate smartwatch with a striking display: Garmin Lily Sport review

Purple violet. Patterned displays, colorful cases, and slim watchbands: The Garmin Lily should be attractive to all those for whom the typical smartwatches are too large and dark. However, apparently GPS and NFC did not fit into the delicate case anymore. On the other hand, the software scores with the strengths that are typical for Garmin.

Samsung Galaxy S21 smartphone review: The most affordable high-end Galaxy

90% Samsung Galaxy S21 smartphone review: The most affordable high-end Galaxy

The new S class. The Samsung Galaxy S21 is the smallest and least expensive of the three new Galaxy S21 models and should be the obvious choice for most users. The 6.2-inch device lacks a few features of the more expensive Galaxy S21 models, but that doesn't change its high-end quality: The performance, display, and camera are great, and the price is even lower than that of the Galaxy S20.

A new Geekbench listing shows the Intel Core i5-11600K in poor light

Intel Core i5-11600K falls flat against the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X on Geekbench

Intel's upcoming Core i5-11600K Rocket Lake-S CPU just showed up on Geekbench. Its single and multi-core scores of 1,565 and 6,220 might seem a tad disappointing compared to the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, but we can attribute it to the test bench running slow RAM clocked at 2,133MHz.
