The latest GeForce RTX 30 laptops offer only moderate gains over the previous generation GeForce RTX 20 models. Thus, gamers on tighter budgets may want to take advantage of the inevitable sales for older laptops sporting the Nvidia Turing GPUs.
Newegg is currently listing the MSI GL65 Leopard 10SFSK for $400 USD off the original asking price. The deal is notable as it includes the GeForce RTX 2070 Super instead of the slightly slower GeForce RTX 2070 or RTX 2070 Max-Q. This makes the system one of the least expensive gaming laptops you can buy with this exact Nvidia GPU.
Other than its graphics, the configuration also comes with a Comet Lake-H Core i7 CPU, 144 Hz IPS display, 16 GB of RAM, and dual SSD+HDD storage. This should be a very capable gaming laptop for several years down the road based on these specifications alone.
Users should be aware that the GL65 is still a lower mid-range MSI laptop and so its chassis isn't going to impress when compared to the pricier MSI GS series or Asus Zephyrus series. See our full review on the MSI GL65 to learn more about the chassis and its physical features.
