Deal | Affordable MSI GF65 Thin 9SD gaming laptop on sale for $750 USD with Core i7-9750H CPU, GeForce GTX 1660 Ti GPU, and 144 Hz IPS display
Newegg is currently hosting a sale on one of MSI's older budget gaming laptops for $250 USD off the original asking price. The system comes with respectable hardware for the asking price including a Core i7-9750H CPU, GeForce GTX 1660 Ti graphics, and a 144 Hz 1080p display. Such specifications would have retailed for $1000 To $1100 about a year ago.
Interested buyers should note that the CPU and GPU are each at least a generation behind the current crop of options from Intel and Nvidia, respectively. Nonetheless, the Core i7-9750H and GTX 1660 Ti pair well together for a balanced gaming system. Other laptops in this same price range would typically come with much slower Core i5 or GeForce GTX 1650 options instead.
The major drawback to the sale is the measly 8 GB of system RAM which is thankfully upgradeable. Still, we would have preferred 16 GB out of the gate so owners can avoid the trouble of installing more themselves. The display is also not fit for professional editing due to its limited 60 percent sRGB coverage.
