Rollme has just launched the Hero, its latest smartwatch with a completely bezel-free display. This is joined by a nano-SIM card slot for 4G/LTE connectivity in this wearable, not to mention up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Not only that, but it boasts an unusually large 1,600mAh battery rated for up to 10 days on power-save mode.

Rollme has made its name on smartwatches with almost-unique bezel-less displays. The latest example of these is the Hero, which boasts a 1.69-inch round edge-to-edge screen (even if it is IPS). Rollme has also packed features such as up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage and standalone 4G/LTE data.

The Hero is also powered by Android 10 with Google Play support. They run on a MediaTek Helio P22 SoC rather than a wearables-specific platform (even if that processor is clocked at 1.25GHz here). It even hammers its phone-on-a-wrist status home with an 8MP punch-hole camera, set into the 3 o'clock position.

It also has a "main", bottom-facing 13MP shooter. Either might seem superfluous on a smartwatch, although Rollme has added them in order to offer functions such as Face Unlock on the Hero. In terms of more wearable-typical specs, it has water resistance - which is rated for 10ATM rather than the more normal 5ATM - as well as the MIL-STD-810G durability rating.

The Rollme Hero also has triple GPS, a compass, an altimeter and a barometer, which might be great for outdoorsy consumers. It can also count steps and track the user's heart-rate, which might be useful for its approximately 20 sports modes. In fact, the only up-to-date features it seems to lack are SpO2 and blood-pressure monitoring.

On the flip side, all those sensors - not to mention its 1,600mAh battery - renders the Hero a pretty thick exponent of the smartwatch form-factor. It protrudes 18.5 millimeters in total from the user's wrist, to which it is bound with what seems to be only 1 brown leather strap option.

Should that match your style, the Rollme Hero is to be unleashed soon for the first time on Banggood for US$199.99, although this site claims its normal price is $399.99.

(Alternatively, the non-bezel-less, yet also camera-rich, Rollme S08 is now available on Newegg.)
