Everything about this notebook seems great, right? Well, there are a couple of things that inspire insecurity in us. Firstly, it is the price. Not only does the base model seem a bit on the high end, but the price continues growing exponentially when you are looking for more storage (but it goes up to 1TB, which is great, considering the lack of expandability).

If you already own the previous-gen iPad Pro then there’s little here to warrant an upgrade. No real performance boosts and very few user-facing new features. You can even use the new Magic Keyboard with the older tablet. But this is still a fantastic device, and for the right person it’s the best tablet going. It’s beautifully designed, packs a gorgeous display, and works with a bounty of strong add-ons and apps. It’s as close to a laptop replacement as I’ve found – even if it won’t be completely there for everyone.

The new iPad Pro, at least in some sense, is Apple admitting that Microsoft’s Surface Pro, with its keyboard, stylus and most importantly, trackpad, is the right way to approach a 2-in-1. This is an out of character, but welcome move on Apple’s part given its past reluctance to discuss the possibility of bringing cursor support to its long-running tablet line.

Model:
Similar to the iPad Pro that was released by Apple in 2018, the 2020 models have also been made available in two variants, the 11-inch iPad Pro and the 12.9-inch iPad Pro. While the former incorporates an 11-inch display, the latter carries a 12.9-inch display. Both the earlier and the new model of the iPad Pro 11 provide a similar screen resolution of 1668 x 2388. While it is not the highest resolution out there, it does look great. Apart from that, similar to its predecessor, this new model has also retained its edge-to-edge display and Face ID while ditching the home button. There is no doubt that the iPad Pro 11 is a sleek and thin device, but it is not necessarily the most durable out there. Since the back of the device is not made out of glass, there is no possibility of shattering, but tests have shown that the device can easily bend under pressure.
In terms of memory, the 2018 model came with 4 GB of RAM along with 64 GB, 256 GB or 512 GB of internal storage or 6 GB of RAM with 1 TB of internal storage; this has been upgraded to 6 GB of RAM for 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB of internal storage for the latest model. As far as the performance is concerned, the earlier iPad Pro 11 was equipped with an Apple A12X Bionic Chipset, but this has been upgraded to a slightly more powerful Apple A12Z Bionic chipset in the latest model. While the new model is definitely more powerful, the performance boost seems to be relatively small. However, it should be noted that the performance level is definitely not the same, because the A12Z Bionic chipset is obviously quicker than the A12X Bionic chipset. On the other hand, despite having a slightly smaller battery (28.65 Wh compared to the 29.45 Wh in the earlier version), this model still gets the 10 hours of surfing the web, just like the older model. Similarly, the latest iPad Pro 11 also does not support wireless charging and has to be charged through the Type-C USB port.
The most outstanding upgrade of the latest iPad Pro 11 have to be its new camera features. While the 2018 model came with a single-lens 12-megapixel rear-facing camera, the new model has it beat with its 12-megapixel primary lens along with a 10-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a Lidar sensor. The new sensor comes in handy for augmented reality applications. While this feature might be more useful for some users than others, this is definitely an upgrade from the older model. However, the 7-megapixel front-facing camera is still the same in both models. While there are some upgrades in certain areas, the new iPad Pro 11 shares a number of similarities with the previous model.

Apple A12Z Bionic GPU: Integrated graphics card offering 8 cores designed by Apple and integrated in the A12Z Bionic SoC. Compared to the A12X Bionic in the iPad Pro 2018 models (7 cores) and A12 Bionic (iPhone XS series) it should offer the same architecture with more cores.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

A12Z Bionic: System on a Chip (SoC) from Apple that integrates a processor (eight 64 Bit cores, 4 performance and 4 power saving cores). It should be similar to the older Apple A12X SoC but offers 1 GPU core more and maybe faster clock rates.» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.

This is a standard display format for tablet computers or small convertibles. You see more on the screen than on a smartphone but you can't use big resolutions well. On the other hand, mobility is not a problem.
