Reviews for the Asus Strix Scar 17 G733QS
Source: Ultrabook Review
This 2021 Asus ROG Strix Scar 17 is the most powerful full-size performance/gaming laptop you can get right now with AMD Ryzen 5000 hardware and Nvidia RTX 3000 graphics. Compared to the previous generation, this is silent and friendlier to use with daily multitasking and casual tasks, 10-20% faster in games and workloads, and significantly quieter. But there's still a catch: both the CPU and GPU run hot with games on the default power profiles, however, you can address this in the Manual mode. In this review we're getting in-depth on all the important aspects you should consider before deciding on this one.

The ROG Strix SCAR 17 G733 is not your ordinary gaming laptop. It has some very exciting display options, including the new standard for mobile gameplay – a 1440p 165Hz IPS panel. Also, you get pretty much the best in terms of mobile CPU power, as well, however, we still feel it lacks behind the Comet Lake-H processors when it comes to gaming.

The Asus ROG Strix SCAR 17 G733 is one of the most powerful gaming laptops money can buy right now, and will play any modern game with ease. Its design is unashamedly in-your-face – and while that may not appeal to everyone, if you want a gaming laptop that will get a reaction with its resplendent RGB lighting, then this may be for you. However, the price is high, and will be hard to justify for many people.

The ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 17 G733Q gaming laptop boasts of a rarefied combination of an AMD Ryzen 9 CPU and NVIDIA GEForce RTX3080 graphics in a slim chassis. The price tag for this magnificent gaming beast is intimidating but you can bask in the knowledge that you have the most powerful gaming laptop that money can currently buy.
