December 2025 update. A good mini-PC for office tasks can be had for just a few hundred dollars/euros. Such systems tend to have a low power consumption, saving the user plenty of cash on bills in the long run. With their extremely compact dimensions, such systems can be placed at the back of one's monitor if desired. Some mini-PCs are particularly quiet while others surprise with their performance.

In addition to Intel, AMD also had some new CPUs for laptops to show at CES 2026. But depending on your perspective, their lineup might be a little disappointing for now.

MSI just announced a whole bunch of upgrades to both its consumer and gaming laptop lineups during CES 2026 in Las Vegas.
