Nvidia RTX Spark for $2,999.99: HP leak reveals RTX Spark laptop pricing ahead of launch

HP unveiled the RTX Spark-powered OmniBook Ultra 16 and OmniBook X 14 at IFA 2026, both set to be offered with either the lower-end chip with a 5120-core GPU and an 18-core CPU or the full-fat variant with a 6144-core GPU and a 20-core CPU. HP didn't reveal pricing or exact launch dates for the two laptops at the time, but we now have a better idea of how much they'll cost.
The company briefly listed both laptops on its US online store, revealing much higher starting prices than anticipated. To recap, RTX Spark-powered laptops were tipped to start at $1,799 with the lower-end chip and around $2,899 with the higher-end version. However, HP is planning to offer the 14-inch OmniBook X starting at $2,999.99 and $3,199.99 for the 16-inch OmniBook Ultra, according to the listings. That includes the lower-end RTX Spark chip, 32GB of LPDDR5x-9400 unified memory, and a 1TB PCIe Gen 5 SSD.
The listings also showed that both laptops can be configured with the higher-end RTX Spark and up to 128GB of unified memory. Preconfigured models with the 6144-core GPU and a 20-core CPU variant were listed at $4,499.99 for the OmniBook X 14 and $4,999.99 for the OmniBook Ultra 16, including 64GB of RAM and a 2TB SSD.
Nvidia RTX Spark laptops coming on October 7
It's still unclear when HP will release the RTX Spark-powered OmniBook Ultra 16 and OmniBook X 14, but Microsoft is expected to launch a new Surface laptop with Nvidia RTX Spark on October 7. That's a day ahead of MSI and Asus, both of which are expected to open orders for their own models on October 8 in China.
That said, with the leaked HP pricing, RTX Spark will be the most expensive Windows-on-ARM platform. By comparison, Snapdragon-powered laptops can be had for $1,999.99 with the powerful Snapdragon X2 Elite chip and 32GB RAM or as low as $599.99, including HP's own Snapdragon X-powered OmniBook 3 (curr: $599.99 on Amazon).
