HP’s latest OmniBooks get RTX Spark, 128 GB LPDDR5X RAM and 3K OLED displays

HP has expanded its OmniBook lineup with two new Nvidia RTX Spark-powered laptops. The new HP OmniBook Ultra 16 and OmniBook X 14 are also among the first laptops announced with the second RTX Spark N1X configuration, which combines an 18-core CPU with a 5,120-core Blackwell RTX GPU. Both machines can additionally be configured with the regular 20-core CPU and 6,144-core GPU variant that has featured more prominently in other RTX Spark laptop launches.
The OmniBook Ultra 16 is the larger and more performance-focused of the two. Memory options range from 32 GB to 128 GB of LPDDR5X-9400, while storage tops out at a 2 TB PCIe Gen5 NVMe SSD. HP claims up to 1 PFLOP of FP4 AI performance for the top configuration, making the laptop an ideal candidate for local AI models.
Its 16-inch OLED touchscreen has a 2,880 x 1,800 resolution, up to a 120 Hz refresh rate, variable refresh rate support, 500 nits of SDR brightness, and up to 1,100 nits in HDR, plus 100% DCI-P3 coverage and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1000 certification. The OmniBook Ultra 16 also gets quad speakers, a 5 MP IR webcam and a haptic touchpad with gesture controls for volume and display brightness.
HP says the OmniBook Ultra 16 uses its first "tower hinge and trunk" design in a consumer laptop to improve airflow while keeping the chassis relatively slim. The machine measures 15.73 mm at the rear and weighs 2.22 kg (4.89 lb). Its 99 Wh battery is rated for up to 17 hours of use, and it can be charged by a 140 W USB-C GaN power adapter.
HP OmniBook X 14
The smaller HP OmniBook X 14 carries over the same two RTX Spark N1X options, making it another laptop offering the 18-core CPU and 5,120-core Blackwell RTX GPU configuration. Those who need a little extra firepower can opt for the regular variant with 20 CPU cores and 6,144 GPU cores. Both can be paired with up to 128 GB of LPDDR5X-9400 unified memory, while HP offers a mix of PCIe Gen4 and Gen5 SSDs with capacities of up to 2 TB.
Its 14-inch OLED has a resolution of 2,880 x 1,800 pixels, a 120 Hz maximum refresh rate, VRR, 0.2 ms response time, 500-nit SDR and 1,100-nit HDR brightness figures, plus full DCI-P3 coverage and DisplayHDR True Black 1000 certification. The smaller model uses dual speakers rather than the Ultra's quad-speaker setup.
The HP OmniBook X 14 focuses more on portability. It measures 13.53 mm at the rear and weighs 1.71 kg (3.77 lb). A dual-fan, dual-heat-pipe system with IR-based thermal management handles cooling. Its 80 Wh battery is rated for up to 15 hours, and it includes a 140 W USB-C GaN charger.
Connectivity is broadly similar across the HP OmniBook X 14 and OmniBook Ultra 16. Both get two 40 Gbps USB-C ports with DisplayPort 2.1 and USB Power Delivery, two 10 Gbps USB-A ports, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0 and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The OmniBook Ultra 16 additionally includes a microSD card reader.
Both laptops will be available by this fall. However, HP hasn’t revealed the price of either, a recurring pattern for several RTX Spark-powered SKUs shown off at IFA 2026.
