ProArt GR1X: New Mac Studio rival detailed with Nvidia RTX Spark and 128 GB RAM
A few months have passed since Asus unveiled the ProArt Mini PC. Then last week, Apple updated the Mac mini and Mac Studio with new processors (curr. $2,499 on Amazon). With IFA 2026 around the corner, Asus has now revealed more details about its next high-end mini-PC.
For instance, the company has rebranded the device as the ProArt GR1X Mini PC. Additionally, Asus indicates that the ProArt GR1X will be available with multiple Nvidia RTX Spark chipsets. Based on recent leaks, the 20 CPU-core and 6,144 CUDA-core variant that has already been confirmed will be joined by a lesser 18-core alternative with 5,120 CUDA cores, too.
Incidentally, Asus no longer mentions that the ProArt GR1X boasts 'up to 140W thermal headroom'. Instead, the company claims that the mini-PC is 'tailored specifically for prosumers' with support for Nvidia's DLSS, G-Sync and Reflex technologies to help play the 'latest and greatest games'.
Moreover, the ProArt GR1X will be available in multiple memory configurations, up to and including 128 GB of unified memory. The mini-PC also contains 10 Gigabit LAN, HDMI 2.1 and four USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports. However, only one of these supports 180 W Power Delivery. Unfortunately, pricing and availability still remain unknown at this stage.
